Boone Vires, Vice President of Marketing at AC Entertainment and Carissa Stolting, Managing Director, Big Ears Festival will give us a behind-the-scenes look at Knoxville’s very own internationally-acclaimed music and arts festival. Big Ears is an annual four-day event taking place in and around downtown featuring more than 100 performances of genre-defying, world-class music, art and film and over 50 panels, workshops, and performances that are free and open to the public.

Founded in 2009, Big Ears is a singular festival experience that explores connections between musicians and artists, effortlessly crossing the boundaries of musical genres as well as artistic disciplines. N

In 2016, Big Ears was hailed by The New York Times as “the widest-angle music festival in the country, bridging the spaces between the classical tradition, improvised music, electronics and guitars,” and by Alex Ross of The New Yorker as “the most open-minded music gathering in the country.”

“Lol ok”

With that droll and pithy tweet in response to Hostess declaring itself official snack cake of the solar eclipse, MoonPie became one of the most popular Twitter brands of 2017. In this presentation, hear how Tombras’s social media team for MoonPie developed a campaign and digital presence to show that MoonPies were “Outta this World.”

Forbes has named the MoonPie social media content marketing program the “marketing success story of 2017,” and Adweek dubbed MoonPie one of the “top 5 breakthrough brands.” The campaign has been featured in Fast Company, Ad Age, PR Week, MediaPost and Digiday.
