About this event



In today’s often complex and nuanced world, how can communications professionals build a culture of inclusion through people, practices, and platforms? Join Christie Sithiphone, VP, Inclusion & Engagement, of MMC, as she shares strategies and best practices that will provide a framework for embracing diverse talent, encouraging continuous learning, and promoting inclusive policies. Attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how the intersection of culture and DE&I can drive creativity and innovation forward.

A light breakfast and beverages will be provided. There is free parking at Blount Mansion.

Christie Sithiphone is a multi-faceted talent and diversity, equity, and inclusion leader, focused on creating spaces of belonging through her professional and personal endeavors. She currently is the Vice President, Inclusion & Engagement at MMC, an integrated marketing and communications agency part of Omnicom Public Relations Group. In her role, she leads initiatives focused on DE&I, learning & development, and employee engagement.

Prior to this role, she has served in several roles focused on talent advocacy, leadership development, and employee experience, including Global Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Omnicom Communications Consultancy Network (CCN), Manager on the Strategic Initiatives team at CNN Digital, and Director of Programs & Communications at Leadership Atlanta, one of the nation's most outstanding community leadership programs. Her previous experience also includes talent recruitment and talent management.

Outside of work, Christie is passionate about community service. She serves on several nonprofit boards, including ACLU-Georgia, Asian American Advocacy Fund, Outstanding Atlanta, and NAAAP Atlanta, where she is currently the President. She has been recognized as an Outstanding Atlanta Class of 2021 honoree, who are among the top 10 Atlanta young professionals contributing to the betterment of the city; Georgia Asian Times' 25 Most Influential Asian Americans in Georgia in 2022; and a 2022 Distinguished Communicator of Color by the Diversity Action Alliance.

Christie is a proud daughter of Lao refugees. When she's not working or serving her community, Christie loves all things related to culture, travel, music, and food. She received her Bachelor of Science in Communications from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and her hometown is Nashville, TN.
