Join Joe Stabb, APR, Assembly Delegate representing the PRSA Volunteer Chapter for a discussion of voting items. Your participation is appreciated so that we can be sure we are representing the needs of our members.
PRSA's annual meeting of the Leadership Assembly is a significant day where we elect new leadership and discuss issues important to communications professionals and the profession. We look forward to welcoming delegates on Monday, Oct. 14, in Anaheim, Calif., as we make decisions crucial for the progress of PRSA.
Also on that day, delegates will vote on two proposals to amend PRSA's
Bylaws. Proposal 24-01 would change the role of the Board of Directors in Officer nominations and Proposal 24-02 would revise the composition of the Nominating Committee. Both proposals were submitted via a member petition as outlined in Article XVI, Section 1. (f) of the Bylaws and are supported by the Board of Directors and Governance Committee.
Delegates will also be invited to a series of webinars that will be a great opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the proposals and to prepare for the annual meeting. Any PRSA member can read the documents in the
Feedback for PRSA Community on MyPRSA.
Engaging in discussions with Chapter, District, and Section members about the proposals can help ensure a well-rounded perspective and a more informed voting process. We appreciate your participation and candor in consideration of the amendments.
